To point the domain name to the host, you must make sure your host package has added the domain name. In the tutorial of StableHost registration, I used the domain name “designthing.net” as the main domain for that host package, now I will point the designthing.net domain to StableHost’s DNS.
First, you need to visit the domain management page you want to point at Godaddy (or a provider that you are managing the domain name).
By default, after registering the domain name, the domain name will use Godaddy’s default DNS so you can use the DNS Records management feature (DNS Records) at Godaddy, but now we do not need to use the program This profile manager will need to change it back to the DNS address of the host provider to point to, by clicking the Manage button.
Choose Custom, then press the Add Nameserver button and enter the entire DNS address of the host provider to point to, for example, at StableHost, there are 2 addresses: ns1.stablehost.com and ns2.stablehost.com. Then press Save to save, and wait for about 30 minutes for DNS update.
