Menu means the menu bar displays on the template, depending on the template , the menu will show above or below, left or right. In this article, I will explain to you the concept of Menu in WordPress and how to use, display, custom, add links on menus.
There are 2 terms that you need to know while using menus:
Menu: Each menu will contain links on it, you can create as many menus as you want.
Menu Location: Location displays one of the Menu that you currently have.
This means, we can create multiple menus but we can only specify one menu to be displayed on each Menu Location. There are many themes that support different Location Menu but in the default theme there is usually only one location.
To access the menu management page, go to Appearance -> Menus in Admin Dashboard.
By default, you don’t have a menu yet, enter the name of the menu to create and click Create Menu.
In the column on the left below Add menu items, you can add page to menu wordpress or , post, custom links, categories, whatever you need to add and press the Add to Menu button to add it to the selected menu.
Or add any links with the Custom links option.
After you have added all the links to the menu as desired, you can select the Display Location to display (this means add menu location wordpress) and press Save Menu.
Note: You can also drag and drop links in the menu to swap places for them.
Now go back to the homepage and see if your theme displays the menu as you set it up.
